Being caught in a situation where the markets are closed, the possibility of not stepping out and running out of essentials and groceries at home is a scary one. As experts predict, there may be multiple lockdowns in 2020 of varying degree. So people may naturally be cautious and engage in panic buying to be safely stocked up for the near future.
People are likely to be more cautious of germs than ever before. No-touch deliveries may soon become the new normal. Consumers may be less receptive to in-store food sampling and more reluctant to use touch screens or keypads for public use.
